Los Angeles is a complicated network of neighborhoods, streets, alleys, and freeways. I wander through it enthralled by the vibrant sights and sounds that give this place its unique footprint.  My work is a layered visual record of the Googie signs, strip malls filled with liquor stores, carnicerias, machine shops, and the people that live and work in these spaces.

All of these elements are the colorful components that make up this complex metropolis.  Los Angeles is always in flux, so I use fabric, collage, and print to re-construct, and in some small way, preserve the ever-changing landscape.
